An exceptional, crisp, tightly painted small still life of raspberries spilling out of a basket. Prentice has revealed his clarity and precision in this composition.
Born in Lewis County, New York where he was raised on a farm, Prentice began his career as a self-taught artist painting landscapes, although he became known for his still life images of fruit growing on trees or falling out of baskets.
